Course Information
The aim of this course is to provide students with the necessary skills and qualification to work as an SNA in a primary or secondary school.
Progression
This module is structured to provide students with a high standard of training and assessment leading to a recognised qualification in Special Needs. The course also provides students with the opportunity to pursue a QQI Level 5 or Level 6 course within our centre.
Entry Requirements
All candidates are required to have an interest in working with children. To ensure that you are offered a place on a course which is at the right level for you and appropriate to your learning needs all applicants are assessed prior to placement on the course.

This course will be:
Part Time – Day, Evening and Weekend Options
Work Experience Placement
Work experience is a core element of this programme. Students will be required to complete 30 hours of work experience throughout the module, which they will be required to organise themselves. Students must also be Garda Vetted.
Eligibility
This course is funded under BTEI funding. In order to be eligible, applicants must be;
- An Early School leaver, and/or
- In receipt of a Social Welfare Payment or
- Have a GP or Medical Card
- Students can pay a fee if they are not eligible for funding
- Signing for Credits
